And my wheels kept rolling.

Living on the road for months, driving across one town after another. Never wanting to stop. Until that day. It was that diner, that stopped my wheels, for the first time. Where I found you with your sparkling blue eyes, serving coffee and pancakes with that smile. Oh that smile, made my heart stop. For the first time, my feet were grounded. I stayed. Stayed in your town, for days more than I usually did. Ate at your diner, just to watch you smile. Got to know you, felt you, kissed you. I stayed. Wanting to settle down, with you, in your town, have a life with you. I wanted my life to slow down. I wanted time to stop ticking. I wanted to kneel before you. That's when I realized, I could stay no longer. I wasn't ready to put down roots, I wanted to keep moving. That day, I kissed you good bye. I hit the road again, feeling the wind against my face.
