Nothing Broken Forever!!

There is nothing called broken hearts Love finds it’s way again and again There is nothing called broken dreams Success finds the persistent ones someday There is nothing called broken lives  Relations find emotions to bond again There is nothing called broken trust People redeem themselves to build trust again There is nothing called broken spirit The strength buried within sets it free again There is nothing called broken soul World revives it with positivity again Never let the broken you to outlive you If you choose,  Nothing can remain broken forever!

Words can change lives!

They don't come easily always These words When you need them the most They get stuck in your head They aren’t true always These words  When your heart and mind conflicts They lie to you and the world  They aren’t needed always These words When silence can do all the talking They know not to part the lips They aren't gloomy always These words When you use them the right way They can spread boundless happiness around They aren't cheap always These words When in love or life or death They are the most expensive gift you can give. Sometimes words are difficult But when they are right Words can change lives!

#10yearchallenge - Throwback!

People who know me, know that I am not a social media person; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.. have not been able to hook me up for more than 2 minutes a week. Yeah, that’s about the time I spend there. But recently, a lot of #10years pictures started showing up on these sites by my friends. At first I thought it was just one person’s idea, then realized it’s a challenge and I saw friends shared their picture comparing 10yrs back to today. It was interesting, seeing all those pics, I realized they had one thing in common - they have changed. Not just in their appearances but their personalities as well.  I reflected at myself 10 years back, same day, same month; I was in India fighting to keep an almost broken relationship. I remember the days and nights when I felt so pathetic that I never thought I could even pass that phase. I took the decision to move far away from all of it, and I flew to USA. What I went through then was just the beginning of so many challenges I was to se

Across the street..

I see you across the street  Holding her hand and a smile on face Something stings right in my chest I don’t know what but it hurts When you walked away  I thought you had return When you did not I wished you be unhappy When you said you moved on I hoped you were lying When they said you were married I prayed she was a piece of crap But now when I see you  Smiling across the street Whatever I  hoped wished prayed  I know none of it came true  It hurts for I thought so ill But my heart was crazy then Am so glad to see you smiling My heart feels light again While I sit here Sharing the coffee  with my love My smile would've vanished today If I had seen you sad across the street!!

An Evening with Hot Chocolate!

After walking around the Ottawa downtown in this chilling cold, watching castle like buildings glowing against the golden sunset; I want to head into the old fish market restaurant. Ottawa Downtown  But it’s just 5 PM, I think I must stall for some more time, I don’t want to wake up at 2 AM hungry. As I turn around the corner of the Byward market street where the huge OTTAWA sign stands, I see this bakery - Le Moulin De Provence Byward Market.  Byward Market By now, cold has entered my brain, so I don’t think much and enter this place. Smell of freshly baked items fill my nostrils. Not too crowded, nice place to sit and read a few more pages of the current book I think. I gaze at various brioches, croissants, pizzas, breads, buns - varieties that I don’t know much. I pick plain brioche and a hot chocolate. I drop my jacket and scarf on a single table by the window.  Table by window For the first time in my life, have I been offered hot choc

Oh Mirror Mirror tell me..

Mirror Mirror on the wall,  asked he Tell me who I really am. Are you sure you want to know,  the mirror asked then here is who you really are. You have a spine but you don't stand You have a nerve but you don't ask You have a mind but you don't think You have a life but you don't live You see but  hardly observe You hear but hardly listen You talk but hardly speak You walk but hardly step up You are the crowd that watches silently You are the one who doesn't take sides You are the world we live in today You are the one that few fight everyday You ask me who you really are You are a nobody  hiding in the cloak of invisibility as good alive as you are dead.

Waking up to a beautiful day!

Opening your eyes to something beautiful first thing in the morning; is always special. It has the power to set the mood for the entire day. Just those few seconds in the morning, as soon as you open your eyes, what you see or hear or feel in that moment, sets the tone for rest of the day.  We have a famous saying in Hindi we use when day goes real bad - ' subah subah kiski shakal dekhi ' meaning ' whose face did you see first thing in the morning '.  This morning I woke up, switched off my alarm, and as a daily ritual checked the weather and then my messages. A set of messages from my dearest and lifetime friend brought a broad smile on my face, made me think of the impact it had. If I read the same messages sometime later in the day when my brain would be busier, I don't think I would have felt so deeply as I did in the morning.  Back home during my vacation couple of months ago, my nephew who is just a year old, would come and wake me up. Seeing his face f
