After walking around the Ottawa downtown in this chilling cold, watching castle like buildings glowing against the golden sunset; I want to head into the old fish market restaurant.
But it’s just 5 PM, I think I must stall for some more time, I don’t want to wake up at 2 AM hungry. As I turn around the corner of the Byward market street where the huge OTTAWA sign stands, I see this bakery - Le Moulin De Provence Byward Market.
By now, cold has entered my brain, so I don’t think much and enter this place. Smell of freshly baked items fill my nostrils. Not too crowded, nice place to sit and read a few more pages of the current book I think.
I gaze at various brioches, croissants, pizzas, breads, buns - varieties that I don’t know much. I pick plain brioche and a hot chocolate. I drop my jacket and scarf on a single table by the window.
For the first time in my life, have I been offered hot chocolate in a bowl. I already love this place. I place the tray on my table and take first sip, it’s heavenly. I read my book taking sip every now and then.
Before knowing it’s 6:15 PM when I start writing this blog. I kind of liked this. Apparently Obama was here :) and these folks are proud of it.
