Sometimes words are not enough to express what we feel. When we try to put our emotions in a sentence, we feel the words we are using are not doing justice to the depth of our feelings. It does not happen quite often, but sometimes when it does, we realize the value of a "Thank You", "Sorry" and "I Love You".
We use them hundreds of time in a day without much of a feeling, but there comes a moment when you have to say it like you mean it. And that's when we realize we probably have over-taxed these words so much over the time that now we feel the person in front of us probably does not realize how much we mean it at this very moment. Then we start saying "I am really really very very sorry" or " I really Love you", to stress the depth of our feeling.
It's funny :) People we love and care for; we don't say Thank you, Sorry or Love you that much. Like our parents, our kids, our immediate family, our close friends - we feel well they know we love them or are thankful to them or dint mean to hurt them; it's not necessary to put it in words. They are not outsiders that we have to state what we feel, they understand us.
On the contrary, over the years I have realized, that the ones closest to our hearts are the ones who most need it.
I realized that I need to hug my parents and tell them I Love you and Thank you like I mean it at least once in a while if not everyday. I say Sorry every time I am rude to them.
If you haven't done it in recent past, try it. You will love the after feeling. Its amazing to be appreciated, to be loved and cared for. And expressing that feeling makes it more special at times. I am not saying do it every time, but a pinch of salt is necessary to bring the real flavor to life. Expression of our feelings is that pinch of salt.
