Why is it that we are so much stereotyped about few things that we can't be what we really are; but are forced to be someone else by other's standards?
I am a female and I am proud of my gender.
But that doesn't mean I should love cooking or be dressing up like a barbie doll.
There are a bunch of things that I am and I don't think there's anything wrong in it.
I love Boxing/Kickboxing; but that doesn't mean I go punching everyone at their face or do hooliganism.
I love Hiking the mountains and not walking in the park, but that doesn't mean I am not romantic.
I am straight forward and speak my mind instead of listening silently and nodding to someone else's view, but that doesn't mean I don't respect the thought of the other person.
I listen to my heart and believe in following my principles and dreams, but that doesn't mean I am stubborn.
I carry an attitude that I have built over years, but that doesn't mean I am not down to earth or I go around insulting people.
I am strong and face difficulties of life with a smile but that doesn't mean I am insensitive.
I am an independent working women but that doesn't mean I am not a home keeper.
I love traveling to different places but that doesn't mean I am careless or not serious about life.
I wear shorts, dresses but that doesn't mean I don't believe or follow my religion or culture.
I love to spend my today with a smile but that doesn't mean I don't have my share of problems or difficulties.
I have bunch of friends with whom I love spending my time but that doesn't mean I am having an affair with everyone.
I have a tattoo but that doesn't mean I am gothic or have dark feelings.
I tend to have logical reasoning to problems but that doesn't mean I am not emotional.
I look into the eyes of the people I talk to, but that doesn't mean I am rude.
I question or fight illogical asks from my loved ones but that doesn't mean I don't love them enough.
I drive a Jeep but that doesn't mean I am a rough person.
I am all that I said above and I am a female. And I definitely am not going to waste my life trying to clarify all these notions.
My feminism is not defined by the rules set by the stereotypes. I feel sorry for you, and I am pretty sure millions of girls around this world feel the same.
And truly, I am what I am and above all I am a human. A person who carries a personality of her own, that does not necessarily fit into your definition of gender.
So if you think all of the above are not traits of a normal girl, then go ahead, suit yourself; because I am not your normal girl and I never will be.
