Couple of weeks back I was hosting a Diwali Celebration Event back in Denver, and I generally tend to keep some funny or interesting filler questions to keep the group engaged while we setup the stage for next game or performance. I went online to find what something new, since I had used up most of my list in last 2 events I had hosted. I found a list of "This or That" kinds and more to do with your personality analysis kinda questions.
One question that kept following me, although I never used those questions in the event, was "What is the biggest mistake of your life?" There were a lot of such interesting self evaluating questions, but this stuck with me. I tried to think and make one event or action as an answer to this question, but I could not. I drew blank. Its been 2 weeks that on and off I have been thinking about this, and finally I have an answer; or atleast I believe it to be so.
I started forcing every eventful moment/decision of my life into the picklist. But the truth is; I cannot label any incident as my biggest mistake ; because, I am what I am today due to those decisions. It couldn't have been mistakes, if it were I wouldn't have felt so strong, so confident, so peaceful as I feel today. There were moments back in time when I was worried that I have done a blunder; but hey, today when I think of that moment, I don't feel that it was a mistake at all.
Actually there is no option of looking back and repenting at what you could have done, because there is no such thing as knowing the unknown. The choice you did not make, you will never know what it would be like to have made that choice. All you can do is make assumptions and guesses. So how can you be so sure that the other choice was the right one. There is no such thing as right or wrong choice. There is just a choice out there, and how you act on it or react to it, makes it who you become.
So for me, naah, there is no such thing as BIGGEST MISTAKE of life, yet and maybe never will be. Wow, cheers to that realization :)
