I remember the first time you laid hands on my shoulder, and we both knew instantly that we were made for each other. Well, the first few days was special for both of us. We both, trying to take care of each other and giving special attention to one another.
I remember the glow in your eyes when you had named me - Bagheera. You had a way to make it sound cute.
I enjoyed the races with your college friends, your favorite hangout places, those stunts you would pull off.
I loved the romantic double rides with your girlfriend, although at times you would have very cheesy conversations, but I loved listening to both of you.
I have silently watched you sit alone at the bank of the river, when you would be lost in some distant thoughts.
We would sing together when you were happy, ringing my bell and humming weird songs.
We both loved the wind against our face on the downhill rides. I could always feel your grip loosen on me, like you were ready to fly.
I had felt a stab of betrayal when you slowly started avoiding me, leaving me in the garage, while you found new companion. But I understood, you were not alone anymore.
You, however, never let go of me. No matter what others told you. Every once in a while, you would clean me up, and take me out on a ride, just like old times. We both reliving those old moments.
No matter how out of balance your life was, but with me, you always had the right balance.
You always knew where we were going.
You always knew when to slow down and when to push hard.
You always knew when to hop off and walk along with me.
You seemed to be the one who knew everything and always. That's what used to fascinate me about you.
You knew which path to avoid and which one was worth taking risk for riding on.
I knew we couldn't be together forever, and although I stand rusty and abandoned here, I know the painful decision you had to take, to leave me behind when you had to move cities.
I remember our final good bye.
Between you and me, you were the best companion I ever had.
Forever your's, Bagheera.
